Description

Robust grey skink with numerous orange-brown crossbands traversing the body.

Distribution

Known only from the north-west corner in Sturt National Park.

Habitat and ecology

  • This terrestrial species is both diurnal and nocturnal.
  • Inhabits dunes, swales, plains and inland hills, usually where there is an abundance of sandy or stony ground. In NSW it is probably restricted to Triodia habitat on red sands.
  • Diet includes insects, carrion and vegetation.
