Description

Distribution

Endemic to New South Wales and is known from only two sites in the Chambigne area south-west of Grafton, on land owned by Clarence Valley Council.

Habitat and ecology

Gmelina sp. Chambigne (J.Edwards s.n., NSW1328875) occurs in dry rainforest at c. 150 m a.s.l., growing in rocky, steep-sided gullies with shallow soils. Co-occurring plant species include Cupaniopsis parvifolia, Mallotus philippensis, and Araucaria cunninghamii.
