Description

Philotheca angustifolia subsp. angustifolia is a shrub 0.3–2 m high. The stems are glandular-warty and slightly hairy in narrow grooves between decurrent strips.

Leaves are terete to clavate, 2–10 mm long, <1 mm wide, narrowly grooved above, glandular-warty, apex acute to obtuse or rounded, not apiculate are are usually glabrous; sessile.

Flowers (1–4), are in terminal sessile umbels. Pedicels are 0.5–4 mm long. Petals 4–6 mm long, are white with pink midrib (pink in bud), glabrous outside, and the midrib is thickened and slightly glandular.

Cocci is erect, 3 mm long and shortly beaked.

Distribution

Philotheca angustifolia subsp. angustifolia is presumed to be extinct in NSW. Its current distribution is in Queensland, Victoria and South Australia.
