Description

Shrub Sida grows to 1 m tall, with leaves between 1.5 - 5 cm long. Three or four yellow to orange flowers appear at the end of branches.

Distribution

Shrub Sida has a limited distribution in Queensland, the Northern Territory, South Australia and Western Australia. In NSW it has been recorded south of Enngonia, south of Bourke, west of Wee Waa and north-west of Coonamble with one collection north of Bourke which is likely to have been transported from Queensland.

Habitat and ecology

Shrub Sida has been observed growing on flood-out areas, creek banks and at the base of rocky hills.
NSW specimens have been found along roadsides in hard red loam to sandy-loam soils but has also been recorded on grey clays. The species can become locally abundant and is often more common in disturbed sites.
Flowers appear in spring and summer.
