Description

A multi-stemmed mallee with thin smooth stems and white, pale-grey or pale-brown bark shed in long ribbons. The leaves are glossy green and lance-shaped when adult. Leaves vary in length from 5 - 12 cm and width from 0.8 – 1.6 cm. The club-shaped, minutely warty flower buds are in clusters of seven on a flattened stalk. They develop into small fruits, about 5 – 8 mm long and wide, shaped like a straight-sided or slightly flared cup.

Distribution

Four populations are distributed along the NSW–Queensland border. Three of these occur in Queensland and one occurs in NSW at Mount Glennie near Mount Lindesay.

  • Shallow infertile soils on mountain tops.
