Description

Swamp Foxglove is an upright annual herb 13-55 cm high, with rough-textured branches. The narrow leaves are lance-shaped or oval, 2-5.5 cm long and 1.5-4.5 mm wide. The 13-30 mm long tubular flowers are pink or mauve with white lobes and a pink or purple throat. Flowers summer-autumn.

Distribution

Occurs in northern Australia and south-east Asia and known from NSW north from Wooli.

Habitat and ecology

  • Uncommon in swampy areas and other moist sites.
