Structure

Open eucalypt savanna woodland 10-15 m tall, with scattered tall shrubs and a prominent groundcover of perennial grasses

Trees

Eucalyptus melanophloia, occasionally with Eucalyptus populnea ssp. bimbil. Callitris glaucophylla, Brachychiton populneus ssp. populneus

Shrubs and vines

Acacia excelsa, A. aneura, A. murrayana, Grevillea juncifolia, G. albiflora, , Alstonia constricta, Eremophila mitchellii, Ventilago viminalis, Canthium oleifolium, Geijera parviflora, Atalaya hemiglauca, Capparis lasiantha, Santalum lanceolatum, Micromyrtus ciliata, Keraudrenia integrifolia

Forbs, graminoids and pteridophytes

Triodia mitchellii var. breviloba (in Cumborah area), Aristida jerichoensis var. subspinulifera, Eragrostis eriopoda, Digitaria brownii, Aristida arenaria, Bothriochloa decipiens, Themeda australis, Enteropogon acicularis, Convolvulus erubescens, Oxalis ?perennans, Solanum ellipticum, Evolvulus alsinoides, Sclerolaena convexula, S. birchii, Sida corrugata, Chamaesyce drummondii, Calandrinia balonensis

Habitat

Coarse-textured soils on well drained elevated stony ridges, plateaux and undulating sandy country receiving 450-500 mm annnual rainfall in the far central north
