Habitat

Occasionally inundated depressions near active watercourses, often in narrow strips below river levees, on semi-arid floodplains

Distribution

Scattered on the active floodplains of the Murray-Darling catchment extending into Qld, Vic and SA

Notes

A widespread but locally restricted group of assemblages grading locally into Inland floodplain woodlands and swamps. Depleted by river regulation and agricultural clearing, particularly in the lower and mid Murrumbidgee.
