Habitat

Red-brown calcareous loams on level to gently undulating sand plains

Distribution

Sand plains west of Bourke-Pooncarie extending into north-west Vic and south-east SA.

Notes

A very widespread group of assemblages sharing floristic affinities with Aeolian chenopod shrublands and Sandplain mallee. Degraded over some large areas in response to overgrazing by stock, feral goats and rabbits.
