Habitat
Sandy lenses on semi-arid floodplains representing abandoned channels and meander scrolls, known locally as sand monkeys
Distribution
Scattered at restricted sites north from Moree and on parts of the Darling riverine plain in southern Qld.
Notes
Locally restricted vegetation with distinctive shrub-dominated understories. Found in analogous habitats to those occupied by Riverine plains sand woodlands in south-west NSW. Depleted by agricultural clearing, with many remaining examples degraded by overgrazing.
