Habitat

Saline lakes and salt pans of inland arid and semi-arid plains

Distribution

Scattered mainly north and west from Cobar to the Paroo and Warrego districts on the far north-western plains, with a few examples along the Murray River plain. Also in Qld, SA and Vic.

Notes

Widespread but locally restricted group of assemblages that vary in composition between lakes and show local zonation in response to salinity and waterlogging
